RUGIPO Matriculates 3,000 Fresh Students

Rufus Giwa Polytechnic owo, formerly Ondo State owned Polytechnic, inaugurate newly admitted students for 2017/2018 academic session. 

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony held on Tuesday, 10th July, 2018 at the 800 seater Auditorium, The Rector Engineer Idowu Boniface Ologunagba charged the newly admitted students not to indulge themselves in unlawful acts but to conduct themselves in a manner that help to sustain the existing culture of stability and academic excellence.

Ologunagba, who noted that the institution was very close to the end of the first semester of 2017/2018 academic session, said the stability of academic calendar which the institution has become noted for was one of the laudable implication of the collective resolve of all members of the polytechnic community to give peace a chance by keeping a safe distance from all crisis - inviting acts.

The Rector, assured the matriculants and other members of the polytechnic community that deliberate steps are being taken to expand the admission capacity of the institution through the provision of more training facilities as required by the National Board for Technical Education.

He also commended the huge resources being deployed by the Ondo  State Government as demonstrated by the visitor, His Excellency, Arakunrin Odunayo Akeredolu for the running of the institution.

He admonished all members of the polytechnic community to be diligent, While ensuring that the door remains  shut against the crisis of the past.

In the same vein, the Chairman, Governing Board, Barrister Banji Alabi, advised the students to conduct themselves very well and focus on their studies which is their primary aims and objectives as students of the institution.
